Rainy Day

On the way to JFK to pick up a friend, on a miserable rainy day, I sketched the bluey rainy scene from the window and created a painting that evening. Well, I started it that evening but it took about fifteen sessions to finish it. This one has an abstract quality which I like, but with abstracts you never know if the painting is decent or a disaster as there’s no guiding image, its very much a feeling-based approach. In the end you just abandon it and hope you still like it later.

Oil on canvas. 11x14. Enquire for details.
